| Oregon Ecobuilding Cohousing Project |
We are a group
of people dedicated to creating a place where lives are simplified,
the Earth is respected, children play together in safety, and living
in community with neighbors comes naturally. We intend to retrofit
a suburban apartment complex to become Oregon Ecobuilding Cohousing
within a sustainable, ecological, green philosophy. (Details) (Appeal letter)

PURPOSE: To promote Toxic-Free Living in Healthy Buildings.
BUSINESS: To promote
a peer support educational network, resource referral, library, safe
haven of model healthy buildings, training, clean transportation,
presentation, and increased community awareness.
VALUES: Ecological
principles: protecting children's health, encouraging understanding
and validation of the concept of toxic chemical overload of the immune
system, and working to create sustainable healthier lifestyles.
In accomplishing
its mission, OEBN trains and builds upon the expertise of its supporters
to promote networking in local communities. OEBN is committed to
sharing new research and choices for solutions at meetings and classes.
Meetings usually feature talks by experienced medical professionals,
personal success stories of chemically injured, speakers from local
environmentally-related and educational groups as well as healthy
home building and ventilation contractors. Gatherings of OEBN supporters
also utilize OEBN Principles for personal growth, empowerment and
validation for coping skills.
The focus of Oregon
Ecobuilding Network is a commitment to make a positive difference
with public advocacy directed at chemically injured patients, medical
professionals, environmentally related organizations, school systems,
media, and regulatory agencies.
